The EMD G22CU # 94 of the Ferronor, built in 1971 for the Codelco (ordered by FCAB for Codelco to circumvent US export restrictions), was then the newest locomotive of the company on the Diego de Almagro division. It is pulling a empty sulfuric acid tank car train from the Llanta unloading point up to Potrerillos through the valley of the Rio de la Sal below Montandon. Sadly, one of the most spectacular railroads worldwide was destroyed by heavy floods in march 2015 and ceased operation. When you look on Google Earth nowadays, only very few remains of the right of way are visible.
