After grabbing a shot of this train under cloudy skies at Portage, I like the train headed north for Anchorage. As I got near Girdwood I could see that it was likely the sun would dip below the cloud deck and illuminate the landscape. I remembered the work train was tied down at Brookman so I opted to wait therefor the 120N. As luck would have it the sun help out, which included a fain rainbow and both trains were lead by Alaska version of Heritage units, GP40-2s in origianl paint. A great end to a fantastic evening.
