Double Rarity: After finishing putting together train NS 49A on the Norfolk Southern Portland Secondary, the crew of NS H76 pulls the train off of the secondary and onto the Norfolk Southern Lehigh Line at CP Easton. Due to kids crawling under the train to access the Delaware River while waiting at Hudson Yard (Phillipsburg, NJ) as reported by the Phillipsburg Police Department, the train crew was instructed by the dispatcher to proceed at a "walking pace" until its hind end had cleared the area. With 111 cars in tow, this took a while. Foreign power leading on the NS Lehigh Line has become an extreme rarity in recent times. Similarly in these parts, wide cab locomotives running long hood forward is also a rarity making this photo something of a double rarity. Behind the leader is BNSF 6680 (ES44C4). The train would proceed to Allentown Yard where it would be recrewed by the crew of NS 49A.
