Remarks & Notes
"TC-82 at Calverton Station" Long Island Rail Road's "TC-82" Track Geometry Vehicle heads west past the abandoned Calverton Station on the Main Line near Riverhead, NY. The TC-82 is a Track Geometry Vehicle built by Plasser American Corporation for track inspections throughout the Long Island Rail Road system. Calverton station was originally built around 1880 as Baiting Hollow. Baiting Hollow was closed and moved slightly east down the tracks to this location and renamed Calverton in the 1920's. It was later closed for good in 1981.
