Santa Fe Lives On. You almost forgot what year it was when photographing this scene. Standing proudly against the dark, night sky is ATSF 108 wearing its resplendent warbonnet paint scheme brought back to life by the volunteers at the Southern California Railway Museum (called by its previous name, the Orange Empire Railroad Museum, at the time of its restoration). Joining the 108 for this brief, 1:00 a.m. photo session is the ATSF 999706, an original Santa Fe CE-1 class caboose.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
