On the occasion of the jubilee event in Gletsch, celebrating 30 years since the expedition "Back to Switzerland" to Vietnam, 20 years since the re-opening of the line from Realp to Gletsch and 10 years since the re-opening of the whole line Realp-Oberwald of the former Furka mountain line, the large HG 4/4 # 704 is taking water in Gletsch with a special train to Muttbach. The locomotive was delivered from Switzerland to Vietnam (then Indochina, french colony) in 1924 and brought back as scrap in 1990. Since 2018, this 0-8-0 T is operational again in perfect shape after 12 years hard work by volunteers. Note: The locomotive has new, more sleeker and handpainted inscriptions "DFB" and "704" on the buffer beam, applied by graphique artist Michaela Rapp a few days before.
