At Newberg, Oregon the Smurfit Newsprint Corporation had a railroad that ran a little over a mile from their pulp mill to the Southern Pacific. Most the line ran in the middle of Newberg's Blaine Street. In the 90's, the operation was notable for using an ex-Rock Island SW9, shown here returning to the mill with empty boxcars from SP.
