Smoke, dust and ash from fires in Southern California are being blown out to sea by strong Santa Ana Winds making for an eerie sunrise. These are winds that blow from a high pressure area located inland out into the ocean with gusts over 60 mph. Pushing southbound, Amtrak California Pacific Surfliner No. 768, the early morning southbound to Los Angeles from Santa Barbara rolls through Mondos.
