Remarks & Notes
The snow fighting crew of the Dampfbahn Furka Bergstrecke is back in the depot area of Realp DFB, the tests were very sucessful. Head of the restoration, Martin Horath, is second from right with black cap. Snow blower R 12 (X rot d # 9212), built by the SLM Winterthur in 1913 for the Rhaetian Railway, main network. Withdrawn in 1968, given to the Blonay-Chamby Railroad Museum in 1971, then changed in 1996 with Dampfbahn Furka Bergstrecke: R 12 to the DFB, stabeld in Gletsch, and the X rot d # 9214 of the DFB to the Blonay-Chamby. In 2002 transported from Gletsch to Goldau by road and since then renovated by the "R 12 group" of Martin Horath. Now operational again and the first day of blowing snow since about 60 years. Shoving is cogwheel steamlocomotive HG 3/4 # 4 of the DFB, built in 1913 as well.
