Remarks & Notes 
The NS 4000 and NS 4001 "DC to AC" units lead the NS 746 south at Blaine to Belews Creek Steam Station. The Winston-Salem District was used extensively by NS to test these Conversion units, making many trips between Roanoke and Belews Creek Steam Station on coal drags.
