Six CSX locomotives lead a freight over West Falls BridgeHey look - I done got all my CSX freight train photography done all in one shot! CSX ES44AC No. 3071 leads an eastbound freight over the former Philadelphia and Reading bridge at West Falls. The bridge, which crosses the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia, PA, was built in 1890 by the Reading Railroad and forms a "Y" junction with the adjacent 1854 built Philadelphia and Reading Railroad Schuylkill River Viaduct. The bridge consists of an 80-foot stone arch over Kelly Drive and eight plate girder spans over Martin Luther King Drive (aka; West River Drive) seen in the foreground.
Following the lead of No. 3071 is CSX SD40-2's No. 8094, former Seaboard Coast Lines and No., 8882, former Penn Central /Conrail, CSX ES40DC No. 5481 and finally, CSX ES44AC No. 3087.
