As the scrapper goes to work on its current victims, the NREX 1407 awaits its turn. 1407 was built in 1950 as a Great Northern GP7 and was later rebuilt to a GP10 during its time with the Burlington Northern. It's final resting spot will be here at National Railway Equipment's facility in Dixmoor, IL. Farewell, old friends.
