Snow begins to fall outside of Ada, WV as NS #4304 and its empty coal train make the final push into Bluefield, WV on January 16, 2021. The Norfolk & Western Historical Society has quite a collection of vintage slides and negatives searchable on their online archives which depict, in some instances, Class Y locomotives conquering this section of trackage on a daily basis during the 1940s and 1950s.
