| I headed out today in hopes some drift action. 337 and 703 left Dubuque after sunrise on this bitterly cold day. The low at sunrise was around -15 with wind chills well above the -30's. Unfortunately the 337 was big and heavy and they didn't give much action with their slowness, plus they had 2 BNSF units. Behind them U703 kicks up some snow as they pass over the HBD at MP 257 with an empty bound for western Iowa. 4 CN's for power, something not easily seen much this winter. The train came off the CSX at Chicago, IL. |
