Remarks & Notes
Passing through West Virginia's capitol city and the Charleston Amtrak station, CSX H701, known locally as the Gauley Trolley, rolls along the Kanawha River with empty covered hoppers from Alloy. This is the only true remaining local train on the C&O Kanawha Subdivision today - serving industries out of the railroad's South Charleston terminal.
