Norfolk & Western 2-6-6-4 1218 makes a station stop at Manassas, Virginia on the return leg of an Alexandria – Front Royal round trip. Several of the spectators can be seen holding their ears as the engineer whistles for departure. The whistle on 1218 was the loudest one that I ever witnessed.
