A pair of new Norfolk Southern SD70ACe motors lead a westbound domestic stack train across the Seligman Sub. These NS trains that get interchanged to BNSF in Memphis, TN usually have the NS pulled off there; or in Fort Madison, IA. Occasionally, foreign motors will be left on till Belen or Winslow. For some reason, these two motors were able to sneaking through the yards without getting the extra BNSF motor added to the point. With advances in PTC, and California's emission regulations, non-BNSF leaders are becoming a rare sight along this part of the BNSF system. Here, NS 1185 leads the Q AUGLAC through Kingman Canyon on a chilly, winter morning.
