First Brightline Test Train
On the second day of testing, Brightline train BLF 500, with BLF 111 leading, is heading south back toward Miami. Seen here at MP 168.6, the train is on FEC track, a few miles north of the junction in City Point where the Brightline track turns west and heads for Orlando. Seeing a Brightline train under its own power at this location probably won't happen very often.
Now running between Orlando and Miami, this privately held high-speed passenger railroad is expanding with plans to add service to Tampa and between Las Vegas and Southern California.
