On the weekend of May 21-22, 2022, the first anniversary event to celebrate 175 years of railroads in Switzerland took place, with events mainly in Olten and Basel. Two generations of trains for high-quality traffic through the Alps, separated in time by about 60 years. On the left, SBB's "Giruno" RABe 501 # 026, built by StadlerRail in 2020; on the right, SBB Historic's TRANS EUROP EXPRESS RAe TEE II # 1053, built in 1961 by SIG and MFO for SBB. The "Giruno" was baptised "Basel Stadt" on this day. The blazon is still covered yet.
