The locomotive, built in 1943 by MBA - Maschinenbau und Bahnbedarf AG (Potsdam-Babelsberg) for the Deutsche Reichsbahn as 52 # 4901. Operational for the FME since 1993 and based in Nürnberg Nordost. The locomotive made a visit with a passenger special from Fürth via Nürnberg, Schwabach, Roth, Georgensgmünd, Pleinfeld, Weißenburg and Treuchtlingen to Donauwörth and then to Nördlingen.
