Remarks & Notes

Both of Arcade and Attica's GE switchers were pressed into service to pull a heavy train of 9 cars from Arcade Junction to their main customer at North Java, with an engineer in each unit. This shot captures them heading back south with outgoing traffic near the Beaver Meadow Nature Center between Java Center and North Java. Lead unit center cab 65-tonner 112 shows a build date of 1945, and 113 is an 80-ton unit with a build date of 1959.
