As if on a catwalk, SBB Historic's express steam locomotive A 3/5, built in 1904 by the SLM Winterthur and maintained and operated by the Dampfgruppe Zürich, presents itself on the bridge over the Rhine at Hemishofen, built in 1875. The 254-meter-long and 25-meter-high bridge is part of the 13-kilometer-long former SBB line from Singen (Hohentwiel)/Germany via Rielasingen and Ramsen to Etzwilen, built by the Schweizerischen Nationalbahn (SNB). The line was, as a big exception in Switzerland, never electrified. This day, the elegant 4-6-0 fourcylinder compound locomotive made the first public runs after an about 4 years overhaul by the steam group Zürich
