A New View.
A Manhattan-bound 3 train, made up of R62 cars (Kawasaki, 1983-1985) is running between Pennsylvania Ave and Junius St stations on the IRT New Lots Line, seen from the new transfer bridge at Livonia Ave station on the Canarsie Line. This bridge opened recently as part of ADA Accessibility upgrades at Livonia Ave, and provides connection from the elevator between the street and Canarsie-bound platform to the elevator to the Manhattan-bound platform. A future project will connect this bridge to the nearby Junius St station on the New Lots Line, finally providing an in-system transfer between the L and 3 trains where they have crossed for the past 102 years.
