Emerging from the Breaks Interstate Park at daybreak heading southbound on the former Clinchfield Railroad, now CSX Kingsport Subdivision, CSX P001-19 knocks down the signal at the south end of Towers siding crossing the Russell Fork at a location known as "Skaggs Hole" approaching the next stop at Toms Bottom, VA. After a two-year hiatus due to the global pandemic and crew shortages, the CSX Santa Train returned for the 80th year in full railroad form. Featuring CSX's freshly painted executive consist of three F40PH's and 12 passenger cars, the train would make multiple stops between Shelbiana, KY and Kingsport, TN on former C&O and CRR rails to distribute gifts to local residents.
