Articulated lowfloor regional train "GTW" RABe 526 # 285 of the Thurbo is running the S 10 service 12042 from Romanshorn via Weinfelden to Wil SG, between Oberaach and Erlen. This railcar was built for the Regionalverkehr Mittelland by StadlerRail in 2003/2004 and ran for the BLS later, then since 2013 for the SBB in the Biel region. Thurbo has taken over 13 vehicles of this type from the SBB (RABe 526 # 260 to # 265 and # 280 to # 286), which were built by StadlerRail for the RM (Regionalverkehr Mittelland) in 2003/2004 with a red color paint scheme, came to the BLS in 2006 and finally went to the SBB in December 2013. They were used in the Biel/Jura area in the original red paint scheme, new with a large SBB logo on the drive section. In 2018 they were taken over by Thurbo, but for the time being they were still used in the Jura. Now, since a few months, they are all used by Thurbo, mainly on the S 29, S 10 and S 7 lines of the Thurbo network. This former Regionalverkehr Mittelland trains are looking the same as the RABe 526 # 701 to # 805 of the Thurbo on the first sight, but actually have a bunch of differences, are about 1 meter shorter and the interior is completely different from A to Z. The compartment length/seat spacing, on the other hand, is 15 cm more.
