Amtrak's Elizabethtown station - built by the Pennsylvania Railroad in 1915, survives to this day, serving both Amtrak's Keystone trains (Harrisburg, PA to New York, NY) and the Pennsylvanian (Pittsburgh, PA to New York, NY).
Though deteriorating and closed by Amtrak in 1977, the station was renovated in 2009. The renovations saw he platforms lengthened to accommodate longer trains, canopies were erected over the platforms to provide protection from the elements for waiting passengers and the station building was completely remodeled, including restoration of the original wood furnishings, replacement of broken slate roof tiles, and masonry repointing. The completed station was unveiled in a ribbon-cutting ceremony on May 4, 2011.
