They Restored It, and It's Entering The Main Line

Having her restoration completed, the Santa Fe 2926 enters the main line of the New Mexico Rail Runner / New Mexico Department of Transporation for the first time in the forward motion. This weekend was the first time the big Northern would have hit the main line since December 24, 1953.

It will probably be the last time this locomotive will pass under the searchlights and cantilever signals as CTC replacements are already placed for westward movement
