Portrait of a pretty Porter. Here's a pretty shot of a pretty Porter in sunset light on the west side of the Edaville Family Theme Park. Edaville Railroad Locomotive #11, once a static display at the park, was completely rebuilt by Brian Fanslau and his team from Maine Locomotive and Machine back in 2013. Originally built as a 30" gauge saddle tanker, she's been beautifully kit-bashed into a tender engine that is perfect for the park's needs. Re-gauged to 24" to run here, this engine has a new, wooden cab and a large, full-function tender, which holds a large coal and water supply. Perhaps the coolest feature of this locomotive is the amount of space she has in her cab. Most 2-foot locomotives have really tight cabs with barely any room for the fireman to swing a shovel. This little gal doesn't have that problem at all.
