I couldn't post a shot of the nose, but the headlights and numberboard were removed by the Reading & Northern to keep them from being stolen.

Also, note how the reporting mark "NHRR" has been applied behind the road number. (This does not stand for New Haven)

In answer to Mr. Anderson's comment, the engine's tender and auxilary water tender are just out of shot to the left. For more shots, see mc5725.rrpicturearchives.net.

I believe a company called Iron Horse Enterprises owns the locomotive. They have the funds, man power, and desire to do a complete restoration. They just need a way to run it, insure it and what not. According to thier website: http://www.co614.com there is some big news about to be made public (as of January 2nd, 2006). Its a beautiful engine, that i would love to see run again. Bittersweet photo, sadding to see, but shows hope for its restoration in the future.
