I viewed this image many months ago (perhaps more than a year ago) and it's stayed in my mind since then. The scenery through which the Donner Pass line runs is fantastic and the line is historically significant. The beauty of a snow-covered northern Sierra and the interest of a flanger train crossing a bridge make this one of my all-time favorites, and I will so indicate below. Mountain railroading at its best. Thank you for a great photo!
