After looking at this photo I realized that I saw this exact same train at Esperanza. The train was parked, and I was taking pictures of it, and the conductor offered me a ride. They were going to uncouple, pull forward off the siding, reverse on Main 1 pick up the EOTD, then return to the front of the train to drop me off before they headed for L.A.
