This train is at Delray Junction in Detroit. Just off the picture to the right is I-75 at @ mile 44. The cross tracks are Norfolk Southern. The NS tracks to the right go to a container loading area, a bulk materials area, and the Detroit Free Press, among others. NS to the left goes to Melvindale Yard. The tracks the train is on are Conrail shared assets tracks and the train is probably on its way to CN's x-GTW, nee-DT&S tracks, heading south. The connector is used to exchange to NS and to access CSX Rougemere Yard. CP freights using CSX across Michigan to Chicago use the connector to get to the rail tunnel to Windsor, Ontario. Note to anybody who wants to railfan here: This is a less than desirable area to be in. Please do not go alone, or at night.
