This engine was supposed to be sent to Ferromex, but never went. It came to the MMA as one of 6 FAIX units (a second, the 3609 is the second unit). It is affectionally know as the 'Tabasco Engine' up here.

Wow, small world. This unit was used on the work train that was being used down here in New York on Metro North's Wassaic extention construction. Great shot!!
