I knew it was just a matter of time before their foolish operating practice of using 2 locomotives with 3-5 car trains would catch up with them.

As of now the NCDOT is still borrowing a P42DC from Amtrak, but the state now has three F59PH's. Numbers 1810, The City of Greensboro, The 1859 City of High Point and lastly just delivered as of June 2011 the 1866 City of Durham. There is another F59PH also owned by the state 1893 the City of Burlington and is currently being rebuilt. Lastly the state still owns the two F59PHI's, There also scheduled for rebuilding.
