This photo pictures the Red Devil post her 1999 Bloemfontein 'rebuild' when most of the remaining Wardale/Porta modifications was finally removed. The only major/noteworthy modification left intact was the piping of exhaust steam from the cylinders to the firebox as part of the GPC system.
Sadly she is in a badly stripped state, resting in Cape Town awaiting funding for her refurbishement to original 1981 Wardale state.
