This locomotive built in 1922 as a class C 3-truck shay weighing in at 139,000 lbs for Lima Locomotive Work's stock. It was bought by the Hammond-Little River as their #4. Then it was purchased in 1935 by the Camino, Placerville and Lake Tahoe RR where it was used to haul lumber on the 8 mile line between Placerville and Camino. It was originally set up to be a wood burner, but the CPLT converted it to burn oil, since their other shay burned oil. This one ran as number 2 and was never turned around on the line the entire time it was in service. In 1955 it was replaced by pair a GE 44 tonners and was donated to the Traveltown Museum in Los Angeles, CA.
