Yes, it is still dangerous. There could have been a express coming on the other track. Luckily for this person, there wasn't.

This is like that video from a few years back of the man and woman crossing and out of the blue came a Metra Express highballin. The man saw it and the woman didn't. Very unfortunate situation!

Ironically, that video of the woman who was decapitated by the Metra train was filmed in Downers Grove---same place where this photo was taken.

Actually, it wasn't. The video of the woman getting hit by the E9 was at Fairview station, east of here.

I was at the Fairview Avenue station at the time of the accident. I was just on the other side of the tracks standing on the south platform at the time when that happened. This fellow, along with the one that was standing behind the lady, is very fortunate.
