Notice that the CNW 8701 has had a paint touch up! Maybe that is a good sign for the last two. Maybe that means they will make it for a while longer as CNW.

Yeah, they touched that paint up in June. It looks great, at least 8646 has numberboards.

What happened to the C40-8 in cnw colours? Repainted or withdrawn?

The C40-8, 8575, was patched earlier this year making these two the only ones left.

Beautiful job, Erik! The reflected image caps off the shot. While it is terrific to see these proud units, it's also sad they are the last survivors of a proud line.

Pretty cool that this is the picture is on the box for the CNW Duo pack from Kato model trains.
