WOW! That is amazing, Thomas! This isn't one of those photos you just click on to look at, this tells a story and portrays feeling. Very nicely done. Who says you need a train for an outstanding railroad shot?! My PC vote for this week and hopefully a chance at POTW.

Great shot! I love the created effect. Though, you'd never get me up at that time of morning! That'd have to be an all-nighter for me!

Thomas, Beautiful. I love it! A lot of people start shooting after sunrise, and quit before sunset. By doing so, they miss the best times of the day to shoot, especially color. Bravo!

Great sunrise photo Thomas, eqqually stunning even without the train! I second Stephen J and Steve S's comments, first I am almost never able be up that early unless it's after an all-nighter and second we railfans for the most part do miss the best color parts of the day at just before sunrise and just after sunset. With digital, it is increasingly easy to shoot photos at these formerly sldie film tough-to-shoot dark hours. And only a 200 tele for this shot?!?

Ditto to the otherr comments. Superb! Who needs a train when you got the loooooong rails, and dawn-approaching color. CONGRATS.
