The ultimate diesel-electric locomotive! Way ahead of its time with electronic controls for throttle and traction, and a running diagnosis system that printed everything out to be read and taken care of later. Congratulations for correctly calling this beauty the "DD40X" Everyone else who should know better wrongly labels the "Centennials" either "DDA40X" or "DD40AX"!!! Even the official "Locomotive Spotters Guide" has it wrong, and insists that they are right!!!
