Shouldn't gloat, so won't, or even smile, not funny. But interesting what happens, and why, and when and where, and that it wasn't worse. Good to simply document it.

Kyle RR was running their wedge plow MWK 06 between 20-30 MPH. Note the third locomotive, NREX (ex-ATSF) SD45-2 6486 did stay on the rails. Photos all taken within an hour of the derailment which occurred at 13:15 hours Central Daylight Time. I was driving along SH 64 intent on the icy road conditions and did not see the wedge plow go into the snow. Fortunately, I noted other cars turning around behind me and did likewise. Glad no one was seriously injured by this mishap.
