That's a great shot Richard, I really like the exhaust laying back like that, also to typical steam hanging around the front of the chimney.

Lovely exhaust, just about perfect, in fact. Just a shame you always get that bit around the front of the chimney with a 'Duchess'. Small price to pay, though !

The last time I saw 'Duchess of Sutherland' smoke like that was back in 1977-78, when my mate and I were a little too generous with the oil when lubricating his Hornby 00 model of the same. We were only 13 or 14 at the time :-0
