The magnificient house in the background is called the Christie Manor. It was built in 1835 by William Plenderleath Christie, a founder of Christieville, later to become Iberville, then St-Jean-sur-Richelieu. It looks a bigger than it really is because of the effect of compression using a telephoto lens. Thanks for the nice comments guys! :-)
