Great shot, always loved these engines when their together. That's the EMD 9047, not the EMDX 9047 by the way.

Cool to see an all blue Oakway trio, complete with the gold chain on the 9047 ey? No, these guys are indeed officially listed in the equipment roster as EMDX subletter guys. Even the original EMD SD60 demos, now lease units as well go by the EMDX prefix. The only different on is the GM leaser units that go by a couple "GM-X" pre-fixes.

The Oakways go by EMD on the track warrants. The blue EMD GP38-2s go by EMDX on the track warrants, so go figure. Either way paint them or get them off our northern coal trains as 20 years with one paint job is enough!

The Oakways used to be lettered EMDX but now for whatever reason they are EMD. What year ORER are you looking at?
