I thought they were still working on keeping the track to Burney?

The last revenue train left Burney on the morning of June 30, 2006. The "offer of financial assistane" from an investors group was withdrawn and owner Jeff Forbis was granted permission to start removing the rail. I don't know if that work has begun, but he permission from the STB. That would remove all track East of MP 3, leaving the line to Mt. Shasta City intact for the dinner train. I would not put off riding it if you are so inclined.
