Just wondering why do they still load unit coal trains with front end loaders verses using a more conventional coal loader such as a tower? Also how do they know when each car has 100 tons of coal in it if there loading on the fly with wheeled loaders?

The old loadout had to be torn down due to age and reclaimed. Due to expenses and getting off the ground they're using wheel loaders for the time being, though that may change as market conditions change. Also, one developes an eye for a fully loaded hopper and then they're weighed in motion at a scalehouse just below the old silo. Thx.
