Wyoming (and Western and Southern Idaho and Central and Eastern Oregon) need Amtrak back, bring back the Pioneer Amtrak!

Me too. Other than that nasty gash on the nose of 628, those EMD's look to be brand new.

The gash is actually where the chain used for a hand rail has swung back and forth and rubbed the paint. The "other" train is actually just locomotive and one car (a MILW obs as I recall). The locomotive is an ex SCL E5 (#501?) that was (and I believe still is) privately owned and was stored on the old private car track at the time. I believe it ended up in Wisconsin somewhere but I have no other details.
