Not only do they have a horn, they also have another whistle. The whistle which is normally blown is a former Santa Fe whistle. The original Milwaukee Whistle (which doesn't sound as nice) is still on the engine and can be blown via a valve in the cab.

It broke right at the beginning of a lengthy 25 mph slow order. The speed had nothing to do with the broken whistle cord. You are right about the air horn and Milwaukee Road whistle.
