Missing bolts. Rotten tie. Fortunately, the signal maintainer did a good job on that bond wire.

Actually I think two bolts on the closer track would probably shear off giving that the tracks are touching. The motion of the tracks has little give, unlike the other track which has give for the one bolt.

Another problem with this comp joint is the plate(s) not being under the rail and it missing the spikes. It should have two spikes per tie on the inside since it has a tendency to roll outward under the weight of a train. Of course, that all depends on what this track is used for.
