Brings back memories of the Please Go Easy - PGE and CP running opposite each other. Notice bulkheads upon which Trans Canada 1 rides. This area was the scene of a massive highway reconstruction through the Fraser River Canyon, rebuilding from a treacherous narrow two lane with passing turnouts, to wider two lane with shoulders, in the late 1950's. A lot of blasting! You can hear trains approaching from many miles away, and what a sight to behold! Thanks for sharing a photo which obviously brings back many memories. PGE became BCR became CN.
